Have you noticed cracks in your patio, basement or driveway? We can help protect your investments and restore your concrete to its previous beautiful state. Sometimes repairs are needed when your concrete is aging and mother nature has long enough to wear down your project. Concrete usually develops cracks after years of exposure to extremely hot, or rainy seasons. If you call us I can tell you exactly what we will do, and give you a free estimate just as usual. Sometimes minute cracks or repairs can be done at home, but if you have substantial concrete damage on your steps or any other structures, then it is best to call us to come give you a hand.
At Bourbonnais Concrete we have a variety of different concrete mixes to choose from, and we will advise you about which one will work best for your concrete needs. Before telling you a little bit about our repair service here are some of the different mixes you can choose from.
The first type of concrete mix we offer is your standard concrete mix. This is for concrete structures with no decoration, and as we have said many times on our website, is the most likely to develop damage.
The second type of concrete mix we have available is architectural and decorative concrete. This stuff is a lot stronger than your standard mix concrete, and it is obviously used for structures that need greater reinforcement, and projects that you want to look aesthetically pleasing.
We have many different types of concrete mixes available to you, and if you want to learn more about them, don’t worry when we come out to give you your free estimate we will provide you with a list of them. You are also welcome to give us a call at any time and ask us specifically over the phone what different mixes we provide.
Moving on, when repairing the cracks, we use special concrete filler to help reinforce your concrete structure back to its former glory. If you noticed your structure starting to crumble often times we will have to use a sledge hammer and destroy part of the structure completely and do a full rebuild. This isn’t as expensive as it sounds, but it is the proper way to get things done. After we have assessed the damage and started working on your repairs we have a variety of applicants we also use when your project is finished. We provide your newly repaired concrete with several different epoxy bonds to help give the newly revived structure another added layer of protection. This also reinforces the previous cracks so it will be less likely that the structure sustains further damage in those weakened areas.
Furthermore, we will also apply a layer of anti-slip coating once the concrete has set and dried. Thinly damaged concrete requires us to chisel out a portion of the concrete in order to have a sufficient surface to work with. Once we have done this we will apply quik-crete to get rid of any dirt or chemicals on your concrete to insure we will be able to apply an even layer of new concrete.
